Well folks, yes, the dreaded "policies" page. Unfortunately a smile and a handshake, does not make for a solid business relationship. I've operated this way for over 20 years and only had a couple issues the entire time.

Below are some simple Policies, Federal Copyright Law and Industry Standards that JonesDev.com operates under.

  1. First, if you already have issues paying your bills and living up to your agreements, let's not waste anyone's time here. Stop at this point, do not contact JonesDev, please Google for another company to take your project. We are simply not interested.
  2. The work JonesDev produces is protected under Copyright law. If you need more information about Copyright Law, please read up on it as it pertains to Photography, Design, Programming work etc.
  3. If you have failed to execute our agreement, don't expect to own the copyright. (See item 2.)
  4. If you have failed to execute our agreement, don't expect to get any copies of the work (See item 3.)
  5. If your company would like to enter into a "rev share" or "equity" arrangement, we will run a credit check on your company, at your expense before any discussions. We will also require 3 Business references where you've had similar arrangements. (See item 1 First.)
  6. If we part ways, and you are hosted with us, we will allow a reasonable enough time (depending on the project) for you to move your site, as long as your account is in good standing with us, and you are not in default or breach of an agreement. Otherwise we must reclaim any space on our servers for paying clients immediately and without notice. (Industry standard)
  7. Before any work is done, we will have a short written agreement (email usually) of work expected and payment expectations.
